Vive le Vent... : France

Tuesday my class set out in a group to find the building our classes are in.
It's an hour walk! But our walk there was so beautiful and for the first time I saw the other side of the city. Here's a little bit of what the walk looks like

I can tell you that in this heat that was quite a sweaty adventure. But the adventure didn't stop there! For Our second class, we were to meet our professor at the office du tourisme au place bellecour to buy our metro passes. Place Bellecour is a center of shopping and outdoor art in Lyon. From here (and just about everywhere else in lyon!), you can see Basilisque Notre Dame de Fourvière and we had some time to appreciate Place Bellecour.

Fourvière is at the top right

To our surprise, the lesson for the day would be our climb to the top of the Basilisque de Fourvière, with a tour guide to help us to learn the history of the basilisque.

At the top we were all very happy because for the first time we had a breeze. In fact, we had more than a breeze...we had full blown winds from the oncoming storm.

the wind was so strong that this was the way most of our photos turned out.
We certainly had An unforgettable day because As soon as we left the basilisque, it was utter downpour. The type of rain where nothing you're carrying or wearing is safe from being soaked. There's something lovely about this type of rain.
